After making a cameo appearance in Shankar's Nanban, SJ Suriyah has moved on to his next directorial venture that he has been scripting for quite some time.

Tilted Isai, the movie will see him as the lead protagonist and the actor/director takes a new avatar as the music composer as well.

The director has been on the lookout for a suitable leading lady for this film and auditioned more than 100 wannabe actresses including a few from Mumbai.

It seems that the lucky lady is going to be Lakshmi Rai, who sizzled alongside of Lawrence in Kanchana. Though Kanchana as well as Mankatha with Ajith were big hits, the leggy actress did not have a single film in Tamil.

It is a known fact that an actress launched by SJ Suriya — this includes the likes of Simran Jyothika and Nila, would hit big time post their acting in his film. Now, let's wait and watch if Isai will turn Lakshmi Rai's fortunes around in Tamil.
