STR's Love Anthem sent out a message on world peace and attracted quite a bit of attention. Now, he is ready to release an album by the end of 2012.


While talks are on with Rihanna, Akon and other Hollywood pop stars, STR sounds as excited as he did when his single went viral on the Internet. Talking to DC from LA, the actor says, "It was suggested that I make an entire album instead of releasing just one song. So I decided to make a video album with six to nine songs."

STR says that the album may include other themes too. He says, "The main theme is love. But I am still considering other subjects too for a couple of songs."

With news about him roping in pop stars like Rihanna and Akon doing the rounds, one can't help but wonder what the line up of artistes for this album may be. He says, "Talks are on with Rihanna and Akon and several other Hollywood stars.

With Rihanna and Akon, it seems to be a problem getting them together at the same time, since the dates are clashing with their schedules. Once all this is sorted out I can make a clear plan for recording. No actor has done a music album and that's my point."

At present, STR is busy arranging the shoots for the videos and recording. He says, "I plan to release one single after another and then release the entire album by the end of the year.

Love Anthem's final version will be the last track to be released. Rich Lee is helping out with the choreography." The actor will be back in Chennai next week to resume work on three films — Poda Podi, Vettai Mannan and Vada Chennai.

He says, "Because of the album, shooting has been stalled for a while. So, I am back to resume work. I am looking forward to working with Vetrimaran on the photo shoot for Vada Chennai!"

Seems like this year has a lot in store for the actor!
