Amala Paul’s cat out of the bag

Everyone is wondering why Amala Paul, who was touted as the next big thing in Kollywood, is silent these days and seems to have migrated to Tollywood.

Her career seemed to be on the upswing after teaming up with Vikram in director Vijay's Deiva Thirumagal, yet she turned down several Tamil film offers, the most recent one being Jayam Ravi's Bhoologam.

The dusky beauty from Kerala cited date issues as the reason but apparently, she currently has only one T'town film with Ram Charan Teja.

Now, the cat is out of the bag! It's her close 'friendship' with director Vijay that's the reason behind her studious silence and disappearing act in K'town.

Even though Amala has denied an affair with Vijay and always maintained that they are 'just good friends', close sources suggest that he is the one constantly advising her on career moves.

As reported by us earlier, Vijay is gearing up to direct Ilayathalapathy Vijay in a movie titled Thalaivan. The movie is being produced by Chandraprakash Jain and director Vijay has promised his 'good friend' Amala that she will sizzle alongside the Velayudham star as the lead female.

The buzz is that the director has also asked her not to sign any other films and wait until August, which is when he will complete his current project Thaandavam, and actor Vijay will finish shooting for Thuppakki.

A little birdie informs that Thalaivan (Leader), whose title has tremendous value, was registered by director Madesh at the Producers Council for a film he was supposed to do with Thala Ajith. The Kaavalan star shares a good rapport with Madesh as they earlier worked together in Madurae, so the latter was willing to offer the title to him.

Which brings us to the big question on everyone's mind — What will happen to Gautham Vasudev Menon's Yohan- Adhiyayam Ondru, which he is to start in the middle of this year?
