Amitabh Bachchan's 'Sholay', the action-adventure classic of Indian cinema, is planned to get its rerelease in August this year.

The new digitalized version will be released in 3D!  
 
 "I want to show the magic of this wonderful production to the present generation. And, it is being released in 3D," says Shaan Uttam Singh, the grandson of G P Sippy, who produced the film. He is also one of the copyright owners of the film
 
 "We want the film to be released on August 15 because the film was released on the same day in 1975," says Jayanti Lal Gada, the CMD of the studio that is doing the conversion of this film into 3D version.
 
 The immortal classic film has Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Sanjeev Kumar, Hema Malini, Amjad Khan and Jaya Bachchan in the lead roles. The film was directed by Ramesh Sippy and produced by G P Sippy.
