Reports from the industry confirm that there will not be any remake of the Bollywood blockbuster 'The Dirty Picture'.

   It was flashed in the media that the Vidya Balan starrer 'The Dirty Picture' was being remade in Tamil and Telugu and top south star Anushka is all set to reprise the role of Vidya Balan in both Tamil and Telugu remakes.
  
Denying these rumours the producer of the film, Ekta Kapoor, says, "We are not in an idea of remaking the film in any of the south languages. At least, not now…"
 
 Sources close to Anushka also denies the media reports that she was acting in the remake of the film. It is confirmed that nobody approached the actress or the actress expressed her willingness to act in the remake of the film.

   Anushka is currently acting in Selvaraghavan's 'Irandam Ulagam', Suraaj's Karthi starring 'Alex Pandian' and Vikram's 'Thaandavam' that is directed by A L Vijay.
 
 'The Dirty Picture' tells the story of the yesteryear bombshell 'Silk' Smitha and Vidya Balan playing the role of 'Silk'.
