He is one actor in Kollywood who can make you laugh at the drop of a hat and can carry a film on his shoulder.
His time is precious, and if his name is there in the star cast there are distributors who will snap the film for unheard prices. Santhanam's one liners are famous and the magnitude of his popularity is surprising.

In a short span of time time, he has carved a name for himself and is a part of almost all biggies in Tamil, and big stars wait for his dates. Give him any character; he makes it easily identifiable to the audience and this Friday, Santhanam is back in Rajesh's Oru Kal Oru Kannadi. And in this quick chat with us, reveals all about this wonderful chemistry with hero Uday and more…

What's your role in the film?
I play a guy Parthasarathy or Partha. He works in Sathyam Cinemas and is a childhood pal of the hero. It's only when a 'figure'(Girl)  comes between them that trouble starts…

How was it working with Rajesh for the third time?
We shared a great rapport in SMS and BEB. We were all in synch for this film too. He has tried to do something different with my character and I have worked on the body language etc.

We hear you had a great equation with Hansika and Udayanidhi?

Yes, Udayanidhi has no bandha of any sort and no attitude at all. His dubbing too has turned out very good. While Hansika was a great sport and let us pull her leg all the time! She understands Tamil quite well. So we all were very comfy together and that chemistry comes out well on screen.

You have done a full length song for the first time?
Yes, earlier I had danced a little in songs but this is the first time I am there all through the song in the Venda Machan number. It was a lot of fun.
