Jiiva convened a press meet today to announce that he is lending a helping hand to a boy belonging to the Nari Kurava caste.
Rajapandi had scored 1167 marks out of 2000 in the 12 standard examinations held this year.

This boy, belonging to Uthangarai in Krishnagiri District, was not in a position to continue his studies owing to acute poverty. Since he does not have the support of his father who left the family to fend for themselves when he was in sixth standard, Jiiva has chipped in to lend a helping hand so that Rajapandi could continue his studies.

The boy wished to study medicine and coming to know of his desire and the inability to pursue his studies, Jiiva has come forward to help him out. He handed over a cheque of Rs. 30,000 to Rajapandi which will help him realise his dreams.

Jiiva added that he would fund his entire studies and would do so even if Rajapandi wishes to study post-graduation.

The star said that Aamir Khan’s Satyameva Jayate was the inspiration to help students and he would continue to do so each year by way of funding a needy student’s education.
