Reams and reams of salacious newsprint has been documented about how there are no permanent friends and enemies in film fraternity.

The cold war between the Trisha and Lakshmi Rai is finally, over thanks to SIIMA awards in Dubai.
According to the grapevine, they met up at the after-party at a popular club, broke the ice and started talking to each other. Soon they were seen chatting up like good old friends and common friends who were present there, were happy to see that they cleared the air and became friends.

Earlier there were media reports about cracks that developed between the two after Mankatha release, when Lakshmi Rai claimed that she was the first actress to be signed on by director Venkat Prabhu and that she was offered the choice of roles and she rejected the role that Trisha opted for.
Trisha who did Ajith's love interest in Mankatha on the other hand, shot back by saying that the former’s statement was ‘silly’, and given at any point of time, she would choose to do the same role she did in the film. This war of words was played up by media as a cat fight!

Both, Trisha and Lakshmi had not met since then and when they did at SIIMA awards, they spoke and thrashed out the issue which was more of media made. So all's well for now.
