Director Sasikumar is donning the lead role and also producing a film titled Sundarapandian. This film which is being directed by S R Prabhakaran has Latchmi Menon in the female lead role.
Two song sequences and trailer of this film was screened for the media people.

Sasikumar while speaking said, " The story of Sundarapandian is about rescuing a girl. This film will have all commercial ingredients such as action, romance and friendship. I am donning the role of Rajni’s fan.

I have imitated him in some sequences. Even in this film I am sporting a beard. Right from Subramaniapuram time, beard has become my identity. I will act in a film without a beard. Next year I will be directing films. My plan is to introduce 10 new directors who will be directing the films that I produce. So far I have introduced two new directors. There is no controversy over the title Sundarapandian. We have already registered this title in the Producers Council."

Vijay Sethupathi, Inico, Prabhakaran, Suri, Appu Kutty and music composer Raghunandan participated in this function.
