Vijay will soon wrap up the shoots for Thuppaki. Before heading for the shoots he had a surprise planned for the Sattam Oru Iruttarai unit.
On Thuppaki, producer Kalaipuli Thaau informed us, “There is only a single song left and the film is getting ready for a Diwali release as promised.”

Thuppaki actress Kajal Aggarwal has been busy shooting in for Surya’s Maatraan in Norway. The makers have decided to shoot the last song for Thuppaki in Switzerland which would make things a bit easier for Kajal. She will join the unit for a romantic song shoot as soon as Vijay and director AR Murugadoss arrive in the foreign locale. They will be shooting in Geneva, the second most populous city in Switzerland. Vijay’s dad S.A. Chandrasekar is coming up with a remake of the 1981 political drama Sattam Oru Iruttarai that will mark the debut of Sneha Britto, who happens to be Vijay’s cousin. The Sattam Oru Iruttarai unit had a surprise visitor in Vijay himself who dropped in with his dad recently. Everyone was happy to have Ilayathalapthy on the sets as he praised the choreography department and dancers for their efforts. Now that he is done with the meeting and greeting, the actor is looking forward to shoot the Thuppaki number with Kajal in Geneva. Thuppaki’s title issue is still pending for an August 22nd, though a Diwali release is assured by the producer.
