Veeramani, who assisted director Hari on films like Venghai and Singham, is striking out on his own with Thirappu Vizha.
Jaya Anand debuts as the hero and child artiste-turned-heroine Manisha plays the female lead in Veeramani’s directorial venture. It’s a story of a youth and his struggle to elevate his village with the help of his lover.
"The film has the right mix of action, emotion, humour and music to go down well with all types of audiences. Like my mentor, I work at a rapid pace and want to finish the entire film in a single schedule," Veeramani said. G.M. Kumar has a key role in the film.
