Ilayaraja to score music for Vijay-Ameer's 'Kannabiran'?
Kadhalukku Mariyadhai was a turning point in Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s career. The blockbuster also brought out a different dimension to Vijay’s persona while the songs by Maestro Ilaiyaraaja contributed to its major success.

Two other movies, Kannukkul Nilavu and Friends followed, the partnership with Ilaiyaraaja proving extremely successful ventures while the songs became major hits.

Now, we learn that Ameer, who is touted to direct Vijay in his next film, Kannabiran, wants Ilaiyaraaja to score the music for it.

It is a known secret that Ameer shares a great bond with Yuvan Shankar Raja, who, until now, has been composing the music for all his films.

However, it is also being said that Ameer has been perpetually fascinated by the Senior Raja’s music, especially after he composed Ariyatha Vayasu in his film, Paruthiveeran.

At a recent function, Ameer openly asked Ilaiyaraaja if he would work with him on Kannabiran.

The composer politely turned him down, saying that only Yuvan would suit his film, which had a hard-hitting story line.
