The other State actresses who are acting in Tamil films have the habit of suffixing their cast names along with their names. There was protests regarding this earlier but they did not give any heed to this.

They are forcing the directors to include their caste names along with their names in the title cards. Navya Nair and Meghana Naidu have suffixed their caste names. Now Sameera Reddy, Latchmi Menon and Sanjana Singh have also included their caste names along with their names.

Latchmi Menon is acting in the films Kumki and Sundarapandian. Janani Iyer is pairing with Srikanth in the film Paagan. Recently the audio launch of the film Paagan was held. Speaking on this occasion director Karu Palaniappan said that he is against the actresses who suffix their caste names along with their names. He mentioned, "The heroine of this film Paagan has the name Janani Iyer. I am deadly against the actresses who suffix their caste names in order to get the identity. No actress should suffix their caste names along with their names."
