Pranav Productions launched their debut film titled Vaalu. The film, which went on floors, recently stars Akhil and Saranya.

Deivasigamani, a former assistant to director-turned-actor and national award winner, Thambi Ramaiah, is wielding the megaphone for this film.

Apparently, Simbu's next with debutant director Vijay has also been named Vaalu. Simbu's film, which also stars Hansika, was launched a few months ago and the film will hit theatres this Diwali.
But, Deivasigamani has claimed that he had registered the title, Vaalu, before Simbu's film had started. "I got my title registered long back.

Our shooting is progressing at a rapid speed and soon we would complete the film," he told.
Selvaganesh has composed the music for Deivasigamani's film that is based on a real life incident that took place in the life of a youth who travelled from Chennai to Tiruvannamalai. Ramaiah and Kovai Sarala will be seen in key roles in the film.
