A.R. Murugadoss' next film Thuppakki with Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal is almost ready; it is heard that Ilayathalapathy Vijay will play the role of a cop.

The Thuppakki team is currently in Mumbai shooting for the last song sequence and would be back in the city on the 21st of September which is expected to be the final judgment day in the long pending issue regarding its title. Snaps of Vijay shooting at the D.Y.Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai for this song are doing the rounds in the social media space.

Meanwhile, Harris Jayaraj is working on the final sound mix of the movie.

The latest is that the team is planning a grand music launch at Nehru Stadium in Chennai on October 1. The film will be released on a wide scale in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

The team is also planning to release the movie in maximum number of screens, compared to previous Vijay releases.

Cinematographer Santosh Sivan has earlier revealed that most of the shots in Thuppakki are canned with hidden cameras in real locations. So now it looks like the film will be a real treat for Kollywood fans. The technical team comprises of Kalaipuli S. Thanu (producer), Santosh Sivan (camera), Harris Jayaraj (music), Jayamohan (dialogues) and Anthony (editing).
