D Imman on Vijay's film - 'I ll do well, Its huge responsibility'
It is clearly a sign of his growing influence in the Tamil film music scene as D Imman has been signed as the composer for Vijay's next film, to be produced by veteran R B Choudary. Interestingly, the music director made his debut in films with a Vijay film — Thamizhan, in 2002.

"It is a pleasant surprise. Actually, I heard it was Vijay who had suggested my name and I was very glad. I was approached four weeks ago and I signed on immediately but chose to keep the news under wraps till now," says the composer.

Imman says that he hasn't been given a story narration yet. "I don't know what kind of film this is going to be; so, I don't know how I'm going to approach the film. But composing for Vijay's film is a huge responsibility and I've promised myself that I will do well," he quips.

The film will be directed by Nesan, who had earlier directed the small film Murugaa in 2007. He was working as an associate to director Raja on Velayudham and we hear that it was then that he had narrated the script to the actor. The pre-production work for the film is likely to begin only in 2013 as Vijay will be shooting for A L Vijay's project next.
