Suriya featuring a Siamese twin role in Maatran, which is released today, on Oct 12^th with grand openings worldwide with huge set of screens in USA, France along with India.

In USA Maatran have equal openings as Superstar Rajinikanth's Enthiran with 63 screens and 2 screens ahead compared to Ajith's Billa that was released in 61 screens. And for the first time a Tamil movie is releasing in 14 screens in France with French titles, in the form of Maatran.

Suriya starred Maatran has grabbed all the shows in the multiplexes around Tamil Nadu and Kerala, as there are no big releases for this weekend before festive season. The Telugu version 'Brothers' is being screened in 400 screens in AP and many screens in Karnataka, who has refused to theater the Tamil version due to cauvery issue.

Maatran casts Kajal Agarwal as lady love for Suriya in the direction of KV Anand, produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram under his AGS Entertainments banner. Harris Jaryaj has composed mesmerizing tunes for Maatran that has cinematography by Soundar Rajan and editing handled by Anthony among the technical crew.
