Protest against Maattrraan, wants to ban the movie

Maattrraan which released this Friday had now ended up in trouble. A group of volunteers of the Indian Youth Movement (IYM), led by its President N S Dileep, were taken into custody when they attempted to lay siege to a theatre screening Tamil movie 'Maatran' claiming it showed Swami Vivekananda in poor light.

Maattrraan in the direction of K V Anand stars Surya and Kajal Agarwal in lead was released on last Friday and got mixed reviews from the audiences. Surya played the role of conjoined twins in this film.

In Selam, on the day of the movie release the roof collapsed and 3 fans were injured. Moreover, in Trichy the people protest against Maattrraan film. The members of the youth movement Hindu Munnani Katchi were involved into protest against Maattrraan and it made a great sensation there.  . As a part, protest were made at Trichy to ban the movie. The movie was said to have some dialogues which insult the religious icon Vivekananda.

To manage the situation the police had arrested some of the people who involved in the protest. After some time they released the arrested people.
