Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth, an ardent devotee of Sri Raghavendra Swami, donated Rs 10 crore to the famous Sri Raghavendra Swami shrine at Mantralayam.
Rajni has been a regular visitor to this temple for several years, including on his birthday. The Mutt authorities, in a release here today, said Rajini had donated the sum for construction of new facilities for the benefit of pilgrims. The old buildings on the rear side of the Sarvagnya Mandir in the Raghavendra Temple would be dismantled. As many as 25 air-conditioned cottages and 100 general rooms would be constructed. The funds would also be used to set up a garden.
