Suriya's KV Anand directed AGS Entertainment's Maattrraan has become red hot in the trade. There is a lot of expectation among the trade for the film as Suriya is coming in dual role and the teasers look like it is an entertainer.

Suriya and KV Anand are coming together for the second time. Anand is one director who understands the pulse of the audiences. The film is expected to take a good opening.

Theatre owners are betting big on the film and are paying fancy MG (Minimum Guarantee) amounts to procure the film to screen in their theatres. The trade was surprised when MG amount to screen the film for Pondicherry touched an unheard of Rs 50 lakhs!

The trade feels if the film has "decent WOM (word of mouth), it will take a flying start and sustain during the Navarathri festival.
