Ammavin Kaipesi is a film which has Shanthanoo and Iniya in the lead roles. This film has been directed by Thangar Bachan. The audio CD of this film was released recently.

Thangar Bachan while speaking on this occasion said, "It is very difficult to get producers these days to produce films. Only four or five producers are producing films. They are producing the films to set right the losses they have incurred. There should be profit in any business.

Cinema is also a business but lots of people are incurring losses only in this business. I made good films like Azhagi, Pallikoodam, Solla Marandha Kadhai and Onbadhu Roobai Nottu. Lots of people appreciated me but I did not get producers to produce my films. Through my films I have given benefits to the society. If at all I get a producer, no actor is willing to act in my films. I have to struggle for each of my film.

Crores and Crores of rupees are being wasted in the films which are useless to the people and society. They are spending Rs 6 Crore for a song sequence. The budget for the film Bharathi was just Rs 1 ½ Lakhs. There is a lot of crisis to make a good film. I don’t know acting. Since I did not get any actors, I had acted in that film. The film Ammavin Kaipesi has a strong story that will pull the audience to the edges of their seats. The songs will move the story without any screaming. Everyone has acted well. The background score has given life to the film. The audience should welcome good films."
