At the audio launch of Vijay's Thuppakki, director A.R. Murugadoss revealed that it was actually Vijay's father S.A. Chadrasekhar, who initiated this project. He also said that there are lots of lengthy dialogues for Vijay in Tamil, Hindi and English.

"I want to make a direct Hindi film with Vijay now," Murugadoss said. Interestingly SAC claimed that Vijay had a lot of demands for this particular flick - big director, cinematographer, heroine and music director. He also revealed that Vijay took the advance only after everybody else received it. And finally here we have a good news for all Vijay fans. If all goes well, the film may hit screens before Deepavali i.e. Nov 9.
