Actor Vijay never fails to appear when called for a social cause. Recently, the actor was in Hosur to preside over the marriage of 10 couples.

Actor Vijay, through his welfare association is carrying out many good deeds for the poor.  On behalf of the welfare association, Vijay visits many places in Tamil Nadu and provides financial aid for education, medical aid for those who are ill and conducts charity marriage with presentation of variety of dowries. 

On eve of 15th anniversary of the Welfare Association, Vijay conducted marriage for 15 poor women yesterday.  The marriage was conducted in a ground near Parimalam School, which is situated in Thenkanikottai Road, Hosur.  Vijay participated in the event, and conducted the charity marriage.

Vijay was by the side as the bridegrooms entered wedlock with brides.  After the marriage was conducted, Vijay went to the stage to speak. But the mike did not work.

Vijay decided against giving a speech and instead met each couple and wished them personally. The fans of the actor, who had gathered to hear him speak, were extremely disappointed. However, we hear that as a consolation Vijay met them in groups before leaving.


Then, he left in the car and reached the stage where event was conducted.  As Vijay appeared, fans applauded.  Then, Vijay greeted the fans.  Then the Vijay Welfare Association officials spoke.  Vijay took turn to get up and wave at the fans. 

Vijay’s fans cheered enthusiastically.  Many icons as Anand, regional manager for the Vijay Makkal Iyakkam, state secretary Raviraja,  VP Madhiazhagan, Thamizhan Parthiban, Rajesh, Deva, Raja, officials as Deva, Raja, Vadivel, Suresh, other noted icons participated.
