`Aarohanam' Hindi remake soon, says Lakshmy

`Aarohanam' will have Hindi remake: Lakshmi
Buoyed by the critical acclaim of her latest Tamil family-drama "Aarohanam", actress turned filmmaker Lakshmi Ramakrishnan says she will soon start working on the Hindi remake of the film.

"The discussions are on for a Hindi remake and very soon I will start contemplating on the cast and crew. I plan to make it a commercial entertainer without deviating much from the core of the plot," says Lakshmi.

As kollyinsider reported viewers earlier, ‘Aarohanam’ is based on a series of events that take place on a single day. It narrates the story of a 17-year-old boy and his sister's search for their missing mother. Viji Chandrasekhar has played the mother role and was lauded for her performance.

On querying about the cast for the Hindi version, Lakshmi said, "Yes, that's the idea and hopefully we want to rope in a popular face. I haven't zeroed in on the star yet but once finalized I will make the official announcement." Aarohanam producer A.V. Anoop has expressed interest to produce the film in Hindi as well.

"Yes we plan to make the film in Hindi, but at this juncture everything is in discussion phase. We also plan to collaborate with a bigger studio to distribute the film on a wider scale," Anoop added.

Interestingly Arohanam is to be screened at the Kolkata Film Festival, scheduled to take place this month.
