There are no other reasons for not working with Ajith and Vijay: Gowtham Menon

The film Yohan which was supposed to have the combination of Vijay and Gowtham Menon has been shelved.

Lots of advertisements featuring A R Rahman’s name and Vijay’s various poses were released and pasted in the walls of Tamil Nadu. But Vijay has quit this film.

There was news that Ajith will be acting in the film titled Thuppariyum Anand directed by Gowtham Menon but he did not commence the shooting of this film.

Gowtham Menon while speaking about this said,
“ The story of Thuppariyum Anand happens in the year 1920s. It will take at least one year to complete the script of this film, Now I don’t have time for this. That is why I was unable to work with Ajith.

I thought of working with Surya in the year 2013 and also gave the advance but I don’t have the script for Thuppariyum Anand. Now I am scripting an action oriented romantic script for him. Yohan is a wholesome action films.

Vijay said, “ I like it very much. But it is more stylish like an English film. It is better if we do a bit in our style in Tamil.”

Hence I was not able to do that film also. Now I am using the same script and making this film Yohan in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi which will have Telugu actor Mahesh Babu in the lead role. Apart from this there is no other reasons for not working with Ajith and Vijay.”
