Suriya's Maattrraan, directed by KV Anand has completed a run of 50 days at the box-office. The movie is running in a few screens across the state despite the influx of the new Diwali releases.

Suriya’s Maatran (Maattrraan) which was doing brilliant collections at the opening day has successfully completed 50 days run at the box office.

Kajal Aggarwal also had a prominent role in this movie which featured Suriya in the role of conjoined twins. The movie dealt with themes like performance enhancing drugs, genetic sciences and baby designing. Harris Jayaraj composed some hit tunes for the album. Team Maattrraan ought to feel satisfied at the outcome at the box-office.

Maatran which grossed around 19.15 Cores in the opening day in Tamil Nadu and Rs 2.27 crore (US$413,140) in Chennai city alone at the box office is doing a good business till date, which is 30th November 2012.

Maatran is still running successfully in a few multiplexes and single screens despite the recent box office releases Thuppakki, Jab Tak Hai Jaan (JTHJ) and Son Of Sardaar (SOS).

Suriya’s Maatran (Maattrraan) also made a good opening in the overseas market grossing around Rs. 69.20 lakh (US$125, 900) in UK and Rs. 92.52 lakh (US$168, 400) in USA at the box office in the opening weekend.
