Its happy news for the makers of Neerparavai, as their film has got the entertainment tax exemption from the city High court.

As KollyInsider reported viewers earlier, National award winner director Seenu Ramasamy is said to go on fast on Nov 10, as the Chennai government has rejected to give tax exemption for Neerparavai even after gaining U certificate from the censor board. Now the High Court has revised the issue and ordered to give entertainment tax exemption for Neerparavai.

"Have got entertainment tax exemption for NEERPARAVAI through High court today:)," tweeted Udhayanidhi Stalin, producer of Neerparavai. Vishnu, Sunaina and Samuthirakai are playing the lead roles in Neerparavai that will enjoy highly entertaining music composed by NR Raghunanthan.

Neerparavai is supposed to be hitting mega screens on 23rd of November…

National award winner Seenu Ramasamy is to go on fast against Tamil Nadu state government, as they rejected giving tax exemption for his upcoming movie Neerparavai.

It is known that Seenu Ramasamy directed Neerparavai is certified with U by the censor board and the movie is slated to hit the screens on Nov 23rd. Director Seenu Ramasamy has submitted a petition to Chennai city police commissioner requesting to permit him to fast against government on Nov 10th, “It is a token protest that I plan to hold in a democratic manner from morning to evening on Saturday [Nov 10].”

Udhayanidhi Stalin producing Neerparavai casts Vishnu and Sunanina in the lead roles along with actor-director Samuthirakani. NR Raghunanthan has composed the music tunes for Neerparavai that has cinematography by Balasubramaniem among the technical crew.
