Ranjith is one among the directors in Kollywood who have sky rocketed to fame with their debut flick in the year 2012.
Director Ranjith, who has apprenticed from Venkat Prabhu, proved his mettle with his offbeat film 'Attakathi'.

Now the director is all set to direct Karthi. It is said that Karthi has been heavily impressed by the story which Ranjith had narrated to him and so, he has accepted to work with the director. Karthi will be joining the crew once he is done with his present commitments.

After Biryani, Karthi will be moving on to All in 'All in All Azhagu Raja' directed by Rajesh. All in All Azhagu Raja has Kajal Agarwal as the leading lady and Santhanam in a pivotal role. Thaman will score the music, Balasubramaniem will handle the cinematography and Vivek Harshan edit the film.

Meanwhile, Karthi's Alex Pandian starring Anushka in the female lead role is touted to be released on the 13th of January for the 2013 Pongal weekend.
