Dhanush denied all the rumors about boat accident in Mariyaan's shooting. Mariyaan is the story of other end of people in coastal areas.

Dhanush was very impressed with the story line and accepted to play the lead role in this film. Now, as per the story the shoot is currently happening in the coastal areas of Kanyakumari. There is a huge buzz about the boat accident during the film shoot.

As per the scene, Dhanush and Appukutty were required to travel in a small boat into the sea. There were reports that just as Bharat Bala was canning this sequence in the sea, a fierce gush of wind toppled the boat upside down due to its sheer force. Few fishermen jumped into the water immediately and saved them.

Dhanush responded and tweeted, "Guys the boat accident never happened. We went into the ocean. And the ocean took care of us very well. It's just a rumor." Mariyaan will also have Parvathi Menon as female lead and Venu Ravichandran is producing this film under Aascar Film Studios.
