Amy Jackson turns village girl for Shankar's I

Amy Jackson might have played a Tamil-speaking girl in her previous films, but this is probably the first time that the actress will be seen wearing a half-sari in a Tamil film.
The latest working stills from the film I, revealed by its director Shankar, shows the actress decked up in a halfsari, with malligai poo intact!

While the girl refused to talk about her role in the film, she told us, “I’ve a lot of dialogues in Tamil. This will be an important film in my career, and I’ve given it my best shot.” Meanwhile, it was being reported that Shankar and his team had leased out a huge expanse of land in Kodaikanal to grow crops that were abundant in China, so that they can shoot the continuity scene here.

But Shankar has refuted these reports in his blog, saying, “In China, we had got permissions for all the locations we wanted and had finished shooting as per our plan. The Kodaikanal scenes are entirely different from the China portions.”

A Hollywood special effects studio, which was involved in the making of several hit films including Avatar and The Lord Of The Rings, will be handling the makeup department in I. “We shot a song for which Vikram had special makeup done by their artist Sean Foot,” the director revealed.
