Jayalalitha - The most powerful woman in South India, says Actor Suman
Veteran actor Suman who has starred in more than 350 films in Tamil, Telugu, Malyalam and Kannada is full of praises for Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalitha and has termed her as the "most powerful woman" in South India.
Suman made a com-back to Tamil films in Rajnikanth-starrer "Sivaji-The Boss" in the year 2007. Since then, he has been flooded with offers; at present he is acting in his 99th Telugu film titled "Kanniga Parameswari". He has also starred in "Kuruvi" and "Aegan".

The Mangalorian-born Telugu actor spoke to press persons recently and shared his views on many issues.“I have done various kinds of roles but the one role which made me really feel proud as an actor was the role of Lord Venkateswara, I played in "Annamayya" after which my stature as an actor went up by leaps and bounds. Among my other interests, I follow local and national politics with keen interest. The late Jyoti Basu of West Bengal, who used to go by walk to his office, was the best chief minister the country has ever seen.

“Jayalalitha in Tamil Nadu is the most powerful woman in south India and I’m at a loss of words to appreciate her service to the people. The chain of restaurants which were recently launched in Chennai is a very novel idea and has been put into action keeping in mind the people’s expectations and needs. This is highly appreciable.

“All the measures taken by the chief minister are people-centric, are proof enough of the fact that as she is a woman who plans and implements schemes the way a mother would take care of her children,” said Suman.
