Jeeva in Kai Po Che’s Tamil remake?

Kai Po Che is one of the finest films on the life of three friends, just like Nanban

The recent Bollywood flick Kai Po Che based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel The 3 Mistakes of My Life which is making huge waves at the box office and won from critical acclaim from all quarters will be remade in Tamil soon.
Directed Abhishek Kapoor, Kai Po Che is a moving portrait of friendship, loss and forgiveness. The movie featured Sushanth Rajput, Raj Kumar Yadav and Amit Sadh as the three protagonists and Amrita Puri essaying the female lead.

The film is produced by UTV Motion Pictures, which has a strong presence in K'town as well. The latest buzz is that the production house is now seriously considering the remake of film in Tamil. Dhananjayan who heads the south division of UTV says, "Yes, we are exploring the idea! KPC is one of the finest films on the life of three friends like Nanban. We are in talks with two leading directors for the remake." He also revealed that they have already sealed the deal with a popular young hero of Kollywood, but refused to divulge the name. One may recall that Nanban was also a remake of B’town blockbuster 3 Idiots which was again loosely adapted from Chetan Bhagat’s novel Five Point Someone.

Apparently, biggies like Lingusamy and Venkat Prabhu who watched the film were raving about KPC. A close source to the makers says that either director Radha Mohan or Venkat Prabhu might wield the mega phone. Buzz is that actor Jiiva who appreciated it will be roped in for the lead cast as he has also shown keen interest to be a part of the remake.
