In an interview to a Tamil magazine Soundarya R Ashwin has revealed that her dad superstar Rajinikanth is playing father and son in her ambitious animation 3D film Kochadaiyaan.
The Rajinikanth characters in the film will play a loyal and devoted father Kochadaiyaan and Rana the dashing son. Both are great dancers and skilled in martial arts. Shobana has been cast opposite the senior while the junior's love interest is Deepika Padukone.

Soundarya has also said that the typical Rajinikanth formula has been used in the mass entertainer which has music by AR Rahman.
