Post the disappointing showing of Kadal at the box-office, Mani Ratnam didn't make any official statements about his next flick but there were unconfirmed reports stating that he would be working on a love story set around the times of India – Pakistan's partition.

Some excited reports also said that he would be teaming up with Ilayaraja again after a long gap for this film but now Mani Ratnam's better half, Suhasini, has said that A.R.Rahman is indeed a part of Mani's next film too.

So the Roja bond is set to grow even stronger. Fans of the Raja – Mani combo though have to wait even longer for more of the Nayagan – Thalapathi magic.
