Hansika made a striking entry last year and was fortunate to back it up with big banners and top heroes. The pretty, young and confident actress is riding a wave and is the flavour of Kollywood.

Now the breaking news is that she has signed up to do a film with hot ‘n’ happening young hero Sivakarthikeyan, the fasted rising hero in Kollywood.

For the last two weeks, Hansika was hearing umpteen scripts and she had shortlisted and finally freezed a film opposite Sivakarthikeyan, which is written by noted director AR Murugadoss. This film is directed by Murugadoss' long-time associate Thirukumaran in which Hansika is said to have an author-backed role.

Miss free spirited chooses her films with utmost care and has currently completed work on Singam-2 with Suriya. Her romantic comedy Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru is getting ready for release on June 14.

Hansika is currently doing Biriyani opposite Karthi and two films with Silambarasan.
