It is known that Independence Day weekend is the largest weekend of 2013 with four days off, and now there is a huge rush for the release of Tamil films during this weekend.
AL Vijay directing Thalaivaa, a Vijay and Amala paul starrer has long back scheduled its release date to be 9th of Aug and theater owners in and around Chennai are planning to continue its run till the end of this long weekend [Aug 15-18] too. In such circumstances, Escape Artist Motion Pictures Desingu Raja directed by Ezhil and Red Giant Movies Suseenthiran directed Aadhalal Kadhal Seiveer decided to compete with Vijay's Thalaivaa.
While theater owners across Tamil Nadu appear to have said no to producers, Bharath's Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu, Ram's Thanga Meengal and Karnas's Ragalaipuram are other Tamil movies trying to make some screens on this longest weekend.
