Vimal has always been among the most prolific heroes in the industry and in his short career so far, he already has many film releases to his credit. In 2013, he already has 3 releases to his credit with many more coming our way.

After beginning as a support actor who wasn’t even credited for his roles in big star films such as Kuruvi, Kireedom and Ghilli, Vimal came into his own after movies like Pasanga and Kalavani. Now after a few other successes, he is among those heroes who can guarantee a minimum amount of business and hence he is always in demand from producers and distributors.

Two of his upcoming films, Desingu Raja and Netru Indru, are getting ready to release on the 23rd of August, thereby making it a very rare occasion in recent times, when the same hero is having two releases on the same day. Both the movies have come out with publicity ads with their theater listings in place. A few decades back, such occurrences were prevalent but of late, we have heroes spacing out their releases substantially.

With Thalaivaa set for release the day after tomorrow, we have to see how many theaters Desingu Raja and Netru Indru manage to get? There is a possibility that Netru Indru might get postponed, if there is a shortage of screens.

We have to see if Vimal can pull off this rare ‘double’ feat. The picture will get clearer once the results of Thalaivaa’s opening are out.
