Director R. Kannan has once again roped in comedy star Santhanam for his upcoming film too. Vanthaan Vendraan director has roped in different cast for all the four of his earlier films, but one remained unchanged that is Santhanam. Feeling the humorist to be his lucky mascot, Kannan has signed him also for his next venture titled 'Alangaaram'

Kannan, who has recently delivered hit remake Settai has now come up with an original script 'Alangaaram' penned by him for almost 2 years. Reports say, Kannan has met Santhanam in the sets of Udhayanidhi and Nayantara starring 'Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal' and the latter has given his nod after he was impressed with the script.

Meanwhile we hear, Karthi is being considered to play the lead role. However nothing is official and the makers are expected to make an announcement of complete cast and crew soon.
