Actor Gautham Karthik, who turned 24 Thursday, is busy shooting for upcoming Tamil romantic-comedy "Vai Raja Vai". Directed by Aishwarya Dhanush, "Vai Raja Vai" went on floors here Thursday. It also features Priya Anand and Satish in important roles.

"He celebrated his birthday with family and close friends last (Wednesday) night and joined the crew for shoot this (Thursday) morning. An important scene featuring Gautham has been canned," a source from the film's unit said

AGS Entertainment is producing the film, which has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, camera by Velraj and lyrics by Madhan Karky under technical crew. Vivek, Sri Ranjani and director S.M.Vasanth are also part of Vai Raja Vai cast.

Meanwhile, Gautham Karthik is simultaneously shooting for Tamil films "Sippai" and "Yennamo Yedho".
