Speculations have been circling around the show town until now that Samantha might be the lead lady of the upcoming Vijay-AR Murugadoss project. 

Following success of movie ‘Thuppaakki’, Vijay and AR Murugadoss are to team up again.

Following movie ‘Thalaivaa’, Vijay is doing ‘Jilla’ directed by Nesan. After completion of the schedules, Vijay and AR Murugadoss are teaming up for upcoming flick.

Reports went abuzz that the movie is titled ‘Athiradi’. But, director Murugadoss refuted the reports. He said that it is just a baseless rumor and that the movie has not been titled yet.

Now, it is confirmed that Vijay is to do movie directed by AR Murugadoss. The movie has not been given title yet. But, the heroine for the movie has been selected. Samantha is to pair up with Vijay for the movie.

We are informed that Samantha has indeed been confirmed by the team. The young siren will pair up with Vijay for the first time in her career.

Music composition is by Anirudh of ‘Kolaveri’ fame. Cinematography is by George Williams. He handles the camera for ‘Raja Rani’ for which Arya and Nayanthara are pairing up.

Reportedly, schedules for Vijay starrer directed by AR Murugadoss would commence during December.
