Case filed against Ajith 'Arrambam' to stop releasing
Update:

Court dismissed case againt Ajith's Arrambam

A suit was filed in the City Civil Court on Tuesday seeking to restrain the producer of Tamil film ‘Arrambam’ from releasing it.

Even as Ajith’s ‘Arrambam’ is all set to hit the screens today, there seems to be a new trouble for the film. K Kannan of Black Kingdom Pictures in Salem has filed a case against the makers of ‘Arrambam’.

In the suit, K. Kannan, a film producer, said he had already commenced the production of a film with a similar title, ‘Ini Dhan Arambam’, which had been registered with Film and Television Producers Guild of South of India. Even after registering the title, the Guild had registered the film produced by A. Raghuram, Arrambam. The similar names would cause confusion among the public, Mr. Kannan said, and sought for a permanent injunction restraining Mr. Raghuram from releasing the film. The case is likely to come up for hearing before a City Civil Court on Wednesday.

The buzz is that the case has been filed, just to get attention and publicity for the lesser known ‘Ini Dhaan Arrambam’. Our sources confirm that ‘Arrambam’ will hit the screens tomorrow without any trouble.
