There is news that Simbhu is donning the lead role in a film which is being directed by Gautham Menon. But there was no official announcement regarding this. Now Gautham Menon’s production house Photon Kathaas has made an announcement.

It has been mentioned, "The shooting of the film which has Simbhu in the lead role will take place continuously at Adyar. Gautham Menon is directing this film. The female lead role is yet to be finalized. This film is not the sequel to Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa."

Gautham Menon has decided to cast a new face in the female lead role. Marc Koninckx who had handled the camera for Dhanush starrer Mariyaan is handling the camera for this film. It is understood that A R Rahman will compose the music.
