Ace comedian and actor Goundamani has started shooting for his comeback movie 49-O, a film in which he plays the lead.

The one & only comedy king ‘Goundamani’ is all set to feature in a film as the script’s lead hero, 49-O. What is 49-O? It describes the procedure to be followed when a valid voter decides not to cast his vote and to avoid the misuse of his/her votes. The pooja of the film, touted to be a political comedy, was held recently, and the team has started shooting near Kundrathur.

A source close to the team says, “This schedule will be on till Pongal, and Goundamani has started shooting for his portions. He’s quite excited about the script. The film’s about the rule 49-O, but it will be an out-and-out comedy.” We hear that Goundamani plays a farmer in this film, which will address the issues faced by farmers.
49-O is said to be having many familiar faces in its cast and it would have a leading actress supporting Goundamani alongside. Arokyadas, who had earlier worked under Gautham Menon as an assistant director will be directing this flick and Sivabalan of Zero Rules Entertainment to produce in association with iKnight Entertainment. Shoot of this flick has kick started from Today (Dec 15th) and it will be rolling in locales like Chennai, Mysore and down south. An official press release of 49-O’s cast and crew is expected very soon. It is worth mentioning here that, Goundamani will also be seen in the upcoming movie Vaaimai which has Shanthanoo in lead role.
