It’s well known that ace filmmaker Bala is a huge fan of Ilaiyaraaja’s music, having worked with him in films like Pithamagan and Naan Kadavul. But, we’ve recently learnt that he’s also a fan of the maestro’s other passion — photography.

Bala recently visited the composer’s photography exhibition, which is being held in the city, and was in awe of the pictures there.

We overheard the director commenting, “These are wonderful photographs. If I ask Raja sir for these pictures, he will not give me. So, I’m thinking of ways to steal them from here — I’m so much in love with them!”

The National Award-winning director is currently working on a musical script that is likely to have tunes composed by Ilaiyaraaja.
