R. Parthepan is known for doing things differently. For his next film, this begins with the title itself! Called Kathai, Thiraikathai, Vasanam, Iyakkam with a tagline that goes ‘A film without a story’, the movie has story, screenplay and dialogue written by the versatile actor. Though he will produce and direct the film, he will not act in it.

The latest development is, the hot and happening star Vijay Sethupathy is going out of his way to help an actor he admires-Parthiban.

He has found time to do a special appearance in Parthiban’s Kathai Thiraikadhai Vasanam Iyakkam (KTVI).

Parthiban is directing the film under his real name Radhakrishnan Parthiban. Parthiban says : "I'm directing KTVI with a bunch of newcomers and I will not be acting in the film. It will be something different from my usual style and tagline of the film says it all – 'A film without a story'. "
