Work on the Ajith-Gautham project has finally begun. During the past 11 years, there has been a constant buzz on Gautham teaming up with Ajith for a film.

Every time Gautham completed a film, there would be rumours about the filmmaker considering casting Ajith in his next. Similar rumours would surface every time Ajith finished a project of his. Now, the two have finally come together for real.

A source from the unit says, “Both Gautham and Ajith appeared very comfortable on the set. Though they haven’t done any films together, they have been in constant touch all these years. Gautham has been in touch with Ajith right from the time he worked as an assistant to Rajeev Menon.”

The shoot is reportedly started near VGP Golden Beach in ECR in Chennai.

Actress Anushka will be acting opposite to Actor Ajith for the first time. Actors Arun Vijay and Adhi's names are being mentioned as possible cast members. An official announcement is still awaited.

Australian Cameraman Dan Macarthur who worked with Director Gautham Vasudeva Menon's STR movie Sattrendu Maaruthu Vaanilai is working in this movie also. He is using the latest camera equipment and techniques to capture this high voltage action entertainer.

Bollywood script writer Shridhar Raghavan who is helping Dir GVM was also present in the sets for first day of the shoot.

Meanwhile, the successful combination of Lyricist Thamarai – MD Harris Jayaraj and Dir GVM will be reuniting for this project after six years.
