Tamil film actor MS Bhaskar has urged fans and audiences not to believe rumours of his death that are doing the rounds on a few social networking sites. The veteran comedian said, “I have been getting frantic calls from concerned friends, family members and fans from Sunday evening, asking me if whether I am fine. By God’s grace, I am doing well. I do not know who started this rumour of my death and for what reason.”

MS Bhaskar is not the first person to be a victim of such rumours. It was only recently that reports emerged that actress Kanaka, after having received palliative care at a hospital in Kerala, had died of cancer. However, the actress met the media to issue a clarification on her health status. She said that she was fit as a fiddle and that the rumours on her death were baseless.

Another Tamil star who has suffered in this regard is actress Sana Khan. The death of a Pakistani actress by the same name triggered rumours that the Indian actress, who resides in Mumbai, had died in an accident.
