Mollywood blockbuster and the most talked about movie-Drishyam is being remade in Tamil with Kamal Haasan reprising the role done by Mohanlal.Gauthami is expected to make a comeback to big screen after several years, playing Kamal’s wife in the film.

Jeethu Joseph who directed the Malayalam original will be directing the Tamil version as well.

Now we are getting news that the movie in Tamil will be titled as Papanasam. It’s learnt that this movie will have Tirunelveli as background in Tamil and Papanasam is a town in Tirunelveli District where river Tamirabarani flows.

There are certain legal issues which are being sorted out so that Tamil remake can start.

Actress Sri Priya and her husband Rajkumar Sethupathy along with Suresh Balaji and George Pius of Wide Angle Creations are the producers.

There are unconfirmed reports that Kalabhavan Mani plays the villain role while Asha Sarath who did the original will be making her Tamil debut as the police officer.
