“I have woven action into this beautiful romantic story and have given a different treatment to the script. There will be no comedian to tickle your funny bone; instead, the script itself will provide the humour. It will be a complete entertainer with all the necessary commercial elements,” he says.
About the cast, he says, “Jiiva is a natural actor and he is very casual and cool on the set. Thulasi is a terrific actress and she has improved a lot in this film – that is if you compare her acting in this one, to what she did in her debut film. As it is a love story, I wanted both the lead actors to look beautiful on screen and we have taken special care with the costume and the lighting to make them look their best. Though I am a cinematographer, I took the backseat in that department in this film. I have focused only on the direction part and the story,” elaborates Ravi.
We hear that Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor saw one of the songs of the film, and just loved it. Ask Ravi about this, and he says, “I screened Aathangarai song to Ranbir Kapoor. He liked Jiiva’s dance moves in that song and he was very impressed with the south star.”
