Yuvan Shankar Raja to use his official Islamic name from Suriya's 'Mass'

Yuvan to opt for name change with Masss?
Music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja shocked his fans with the announcement about his conversion to Islam some months ago. Ever since then, the musician is spotted at the mosques regularly offering prayers.

Though he announced about his religious conversion openly, Yuvan did not opt for a name change. This raised many doubts about his intentions. However, we hear from sources in the tinsel town that Yuvan has decided on a Islamic name and he will be using it on the title cards of Masss for the first time. Incidentally, the film is directed by his cousin Venkat Prabhu and stars Suriya as the hero.

‘The ‘Chennai 600028’ music director has composed for more than 100 films in the South has ventured into Bollywood with Emraan Hashmi’s ‘Raja Natwarlal’. The movie garnered average success, and Yuvan’s music was well received.

Yuvan is currently shuttling with ‘Mass’, ‘Taramani’, ‘Yatchan’, ‘Idam Porul Eval’, ‘Vai Raja Vai’, and signed an intense project with Selvaraghavan. Insiders say, Yuvan will start signing Bollywood projects, and he will become very choosy for South Indian movies hereafter.
